Mkwaju Ensemble
Mkwaju Ensemble were a Japanese minimal group active in the early 1980s. They released two albums in 1981, Ki-Motion and Mkwaju on the Better Days label. The core line-up was Midori Takada (Japanese: 高田みどり) and Yoji Sadanari (percussion, marimba, vibraphone). On the album Ki-Motion they were accompanied by Shuichi Chino (synthesizer) and Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami (drums). On the album Mkwaju they were accompanied by Junko Arase (marimba), Joe Hisaishi (keyboards), Hideki Matsutake (computer programming), Pecker (percussion).
